Nearing the end with our board introductions we have Eeti! . . Hi! I'm Eeti (but I also go by Eddie)! I'm SUB's equality and environment coordinator, and I'm the one responsible for SUB's safety and sustainability. This is my second year as the equality coordinator and my first as an environmental-dude. My job is mostly making sure everyone stays safe and that everyone can feel welcome and, well, safe in all that student life at SUB entails. I also try my best to ensure SUB works in an environmentally-friendly way! This is my third year at the gig, and my fourth year overall both on the board and studying English philology. Hello my fellow subbers! I'm Julia and I'm one of the three freshers and tutors coordinators. I am also still a fresher myself and not yet a tutor since everything has been postponed. I'm already eagerly waiting for the orientation week with Sara (who was introduced previously) and Joonas. . Hi there! I’m Joonas but most people call me Pony, and I'm the last of the three freshers and tutors -coordinators. I am still a fresher, as are my two colleagues here. I am also the international studies representative, so I also deal with anything in relation to international studies or international students. I always like a friendly chat, and I always have time to discuss new ideas or things to improve on, so be sure to message me if you feel like you have some great (or not-so-great) ideas and I’ll try to make them a reality! Next up introducing themselves are Henna and Sampsa from our Study and Workinglife sectors! . Hiya! I’m Henna, a fresher year model 2019, and part of SUBCulture and Working Life in the board of 2020! I’m one of the folks organising all the fun culture events like appro and museum visit, and also visits to different potential work places! Even though life is a bit weird right now, we gladly hear ideas for anything you have in mind! - for now or for autumn! My social distancing consists of studying, Netflix, long walks and long talks with friends. 🖤 Let’s all stay home and wash our hands, so we can attend all the events in the autumn we can’t wait! See you then! ✨ . I’m Sampsa and I try to stay on top of all things study and workinglife related. This means I attend a lot of meetings and tell the staff what the students think about things as well as organize study retreats. Howdy 🤠! I’m Ville-Veikko and this year I’m taking care of SUB’s merch and everything that comes with it. This means designing, ordering and selling stuff like shirts and overall patches. Even though it’s only the first quarter of 2020, I’ve learned a lot with the help of more experienced members of SUB’s board and others (thank you!). Some of the things I’ve had the pleasure to do so far this year is putting SUB’s patches up on Facebook as well as organizing an order of our classic hoodie and a new college shirt of my own design. In practice, the work has mostly been mailing patches and dealing with orders and payments. We’ve also sold SUB’s patches at the usual events, which has been a lot of fun! I’d like to thank everyone who has supported SUB by buying our merch 🙏. Board introductions continue with yours truly! . What’s up guys I’m Alice, a first year student and SUB’s Social Media and Information Coordinator. My position in SUB’s board includes being in charge of SUB’s social media accounts as well as writing the monthly newsletter. That means that most of the content that you see here on Instagram is produced by me! With me working on SUB’s social media I have my some clerks, Sini and Iina ❤️ I was hesitant at first to join the board as this is my first year in uni, but in the end I’m glad I did. I love taking part in all sorts of different projects and it’s been a real joy to be a part of SUB ❤️ Right now my social distancing is spent listening to Dua Lipa on repeat and reading lots of books with a side of Netflix. Heyoo peeps! I'm Saana, holder of many titles. I'm SUB's webmaster (so in charge of our website, direct any complaints, suggestions and ideas to me), the team lead of our Media Unit, our junior study representative and also in charge of our Arts and Crafts club. I was also chosen as one of the international student's tutors for the next academic year. :3 As the MU lead, I try to make sure we meet on a semi-regular basis, that we keep things moving and that everyone gets a say in how our organisation looks and feels. I love being creative and I want to make sure other people get safe space to be creative as well. I'm a bit of a spaz, so if it looks like I've forgotten something, I probably have, and could use a reminder!
